The eviction of Ashnoor Kaur from the reality show Bigg Boss 19 has sparked controversy, with fellow contestant Sumbul Touqueer describing the decision as “unfair.” Kaur was removed from the show after an altercation that involved her hitting Tanya Mittal with a wooden plank. Sumbul has voiced her support for Kaur, criticizing the show’s producers for what she perceives as a double standard regarding violence in the house.

In a post on her Instagram account, Sumbul shared a picture of Kunickaa Sadanand allegedly manhandling Ashnoor, questioning the fairness of the rules enforced by the show’s producers. She stated, “Is this not (bal ka prayog)? Rules ke khilaaf toh bhi tha. BB ke rules toh sirf bahana hai.” Sumbul pointed out that Tanya had also instigated violence in the past, stating, “Laath toh Tanya ne bhi maari thi. Ashnoor ko dhakka bhi toh Tanya ne hi maara tha.”

While expressing her discontent, Sumbul emphasized the hypocrisy of the show’s rules, arguing that Ashnoor’s eviction would have been justified only if all contestants who engage in violence were similarly penalized. She remarked, “Before anyone starts coming at me saying I am supporting violence, toh sun lo! Ashnoor ka eviction fair hota agar har haath uthane wala contestant evict hota.”

Defending Ashnoor Kaur

Supporting Sumbul’s sentiments, fellow contestant Abhishek Bajaj came to Ashnoor’s defense in a conversation with Free Press Journal. He accused other contestants of playing the victim card during tasks and underscored Ashnoor’s resilience despite facing physical challenges. Bajaj stated, “She has always been a sport,” adding that Ashnoor was tackled and pushed by other contestants, yet she never retaliated violently.

Bajaj also highlighted the ongoing conflicts within the house, suggesting that the dynamics among contestants can lead to misunderstandings and accusations. He remarked, “Jahan barabari nahi hoti hai, wahan badnaami karne ki koshish karte hain,” suggesting that some contestants resort to tarnishing others’ images when they feel at a disadvantage.

Details of the Incident

The incident that led to Ashnoor’s eviction occurred during the Ticket-to-Finale task, where tensions escalated. Tanya Mittal reportedly poured water from Ashnoor’s bowl, prompting Ashnoor to retaliate by removing a wooden plank from her shoulders and inadvertently hitting Tanya. While Ashnoor has maintained that the action was unintentional, Tanya has contested this claim, leading to a heated debate among fans and fellow contestants.

The circumstances surrounding Ashnoor’s eviction have ignited discussions about fairness in reality television, especially concerning how rules are applied. Many viewers are questioning whether the producers are consistent in their enforcement of the rules or if they selectively apply them based on the popularity of contestants.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how this incident will affect the dynamics within the Bigg Boss 19 house and the future of its contestants.
