Bollywood Mourns Veteran Actor Satish Shah, 74, After Passing
The Indian film industry is grieving the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through Bollywood, prompting an outpouring of tributes and condolences from colleagues and fans alike.

Actor R Madhavan reflected on Shah’s impact on his life and career, stating, “The heavens will be a merrier and a happier place now. Satish Ji, we make the Gods laugh out loud as they admire their own creation. You will be missed so very much… A void that can never be filled.” His heartfelt message also included a prayer for Shah’s eternal peace.
Tributes from the Film Industry
Actress Kajol shared her sentiments on Twitter, writing, “Gone too soon, but your laughter will echo forever, rest in peace Satish Ji.” The production company of fellow actor Aamir Khan, Aamir Khan Productions, added, “You’ll always be remembered with a smile. Rest in peace, Satish Ji.”
Other actors also joined in commemorating Shah’s legacy. Sunny Deol expressed sadness over the loss, recalling their collaborations and describing Shah as “a fine actor and a beautiful human being.” Director Farah Khan, who worked with Shah in “Main Hoon Na,” shared her grief, stating, “You were a joy to know and work with. Will miss you sending me memes and jokes every day.”
Actor Amrita Rao remembered Shah fondly, highlighting how he brought joy both on and off the screen. Rao said, “His humour and vibrancy shall live forever in my memory.”
Filmmaker Karan Johar paid tribute by posting a photo of Shah with the years of his life, “Satish Shah (1951-2025),” underscoring the actor’s enduring impact on the industry.
