Ananya Panday Champions Kindness Curriculum for Indian Youth

Ananya Panday, the rising star of Gen Z in India, is leading a transformative initiative focused on kindness through her organization, So Positive. In collaboration with the non-governmental organization Slam Out Loud, Panday is introducing the Kindness Curriculum, an innovative art-based emotional learning program aimed at reaching over 250,000 children across the country.
The Kindness Curriculum is designed to provide an immersive educational experience that emphasizes empathy, self-awareness, and creativity. Unlike traditional academic programs, this initiative encourages children to integrate kindness into their daily lives. “For me, kindness has always been the starting point. Whether navigating online spaces or being present in the real world, it’s a choice we make every day,” commented Ananya Panday. “This curriculum is my way of helping kids see that kindness isn’t a grand gesture — it’s something they can practice daily.”
Ananya’s involvement goes beyond mere endorsement; she participates directly as a relatable figure within the curriculum. By appearing in video modules, she shares personal narratives that highlight vulnerability, resilience, and emotional growth. “Kids are so much more perceptive than we give them credit for,” she noted. “If we just give them the tools and the space, they’ll choose empathy over ego every time.”
The focus on emotional fluency is a critical aspect of this program. Ananya emphasizes that while academic excellence is often prioritized, developing emotional intelligence is equally essential. “If we want better leaders, partners, and citizens tomorrow, we need to raise kinder children today,” she added, underlining the importance of nurturing compassion among youth.
Through this initiative, Ananya Panday aims to foster a generation that prioritizes kindness in all aspects of life. By engaging with children in a meaningful way, she hopes to inspire them to make positive choices, both online and offline.
The impact of the Kindness Curriculum could be profound, potentially reshaping how future generations approach relationships and community engagement. As the program unfolds, it will be interesting to observe how the principles of kindness are integrated into the lives of the participants, contributing to a more empathetic society.
