Royal Enfield Classic 350 Prices Set to Drop Under New GST Rates

The introduction of the new GST 2.0 tax regime on September 22, 2025, will significantly impact prices for mid-capacity motorcycles in India. This change will reduce the tax rate for motorcycles with an engine capacity of 350cc or less from the current 28 percent to a lower 18 percent. As a result, motorcycle models under this category are expected to see marked price reductions.
Among the models benefiting from this tax shift is the highly popular Royal Enfield Classic 350. The manufacturer has indicated that prices for its 350cc motorcycles, including the Classic 350, will decrease by up to Rs 22,000 once the new tax rates take effect. While Royal Enfield has yet to release an updated price list, this anticipated reduction suggests a significant financial advantage for prospective buyers.
Currently, the Classic 350 is priced between Rs 2.03 lakh and Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new GST rate applied, it is projected that the price for certain variants could dip below Rs 2 lakh, enhancing its competitiveness within the 350cc motorcycle segment.
Specifications and Features of Royal Enfield Classic 350
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, delivering an output of 20.2 horsepower and 27 Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox that contributes to its performance on the road. The motorcycle features a seat height of 805 mm, a ground clearance of 170 mm, and a kerb weight of 195 kg.
Safety is a priority for the Classic 350, which comes with a 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 270 mm disc brake at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS as standard. These features ensure reliability and control, making it a popular choice among motorcycle enthusiasts.
As the new GST framework approaches, many are looking forward to the financial relief it promises for mid-capacity motorcycle buyers. The anticipated price drop for the Royal Enfield Classic 350 not only makes it more accessible but also positions it as a robust contender in the growing motorcycle market.
