Thieves Steal Jeweller’s Bag Containing Gold and Silver in Prayagraj

In a shocking daytime robbery, two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle snatched a bag containing gold and silver jewellery valued at several lakhs from a jeweller in Prayagraj on Wednesday. The incident took place near the Baharia crossing as the jeweller was heading to open his shop.

Local police responded swiftly to the scene following the incident. Senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Ganga Nagar, Kuldeep Singh, arrived to lead the investigation. DCP Singh confirmed that the jeweller was intercepted just before he entered his shop, highlighting the bold nature of the crime.

To expedite the apprehension of the suspects, DCP Singh stated, “Two police teams have been roped in to ensure the arrest of the miscreants.” The authorities have increased patrols in the area and are actively reviewing CCTV footage to identify the thieves.
