Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Vasant Kunj, Lucknow, on December 25, 2023, coinciding with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This project aims to serve as an educational and inspirational space, particularly for students, by connecting them with the rich legacy of the country. The initiative has been developed at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 230 crore and is dedicated to the legacies of Vajpayee, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Preparations for the inauguration ceremony are in full swing, with the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) overseeing the final touches. Special guest houses are being constructed to accommodate VVIP attendees, ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors. The park will feature impressive 65-foot-tall statues of the three leaders, which will stand as the tallest statues in city parks. Additionally, a digital museum will showcase their lives and contributions through interactive galleries, a holographic theatre, and 3D projections.

Features and Facilities of Rashtra Prerna Sthal

The Rashtra Prerna Sthal complex will also include an open-air theatre with a capacity of approximately 3,000 people, multipurpose halls, VIP lounges, and a cafeteria. Wellness facilities such as yoga and meditation centres, alongside ample parking and three helipads, will further enhance the visitor experience. As of now, landscaping, interiors, and the installation of exhibits are ongoing, with officials reporting that over 95% of the structural work is complete.

The museum is expected to feature statues of prominent figures, including Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and BR Ambedkar, among others. This initiative aims not only to honor these leaders but also to educate future generations about their contributions to the nation.

The inauguration of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal marks a significant milestone in commemorating India’s rich political heritage and serves as a reminder of the values that these leaders espoused. With its diverse facilities and educational opportunities, the complex is poised to become a key attraction in Lucknow, fostering a sense of national pride and unity among visitors.
