Kharghar to Host CIDCO Open 2025 Golf Tournament from Dec 16

The Kharghar Valley Golf Course in Navi Mumbai is set to host the prestigious **CIDCO Open 2025**, an international golf tournament that will take place from **December 16 to 19, 2025**. This event is anticipated to attract top golfing talent from around the globe, showcasing the skills of both Indian and international players.

Organised jointly by the **City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO)** and the **Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI)**, with **Larsen & Toubro (L&T)** as the presenting partner, the tournament will adopt a stroke-play format. It will feature four rounds of 18 holes, with the top 50 players and ties qualifying for the final rounds after two rounds of play. The course, set at a par of 72, promises to deliver a compelling and high-quality competition.

A total of **126 professional golfers** will compete in this event, representing countries including **India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Czech Republic, Italy, the United States**, and **Uganda**. The significant international participation is expected to enhance the level of competition, drawing the attention of golf enthusiasts across the nation.

Prominent Indian golfers such as **Yuvraj Sandhu**, **Arjun Prasad**, **Manu Gandas**, **Angad Cheema**, **Khalin Joshi**, and **Om Prakash Chouhan** are among those expected to compete for top honours. The international roster includes noteworthy players like **N. Thangaraja** from Sri Lanka, **Jamal Hossain** from Bangladesh, **Subash Tamang** from Nepal, **Stepan Danek** from the Czech Republic, and Italian golfers **Michele Ortolani** and **Federico Zucchetti**.

The tournament carries a substantial **prize purse of Rs 1 crore**, which will be awarded to the top-performing players. Organisers believe that hosting such a prominent event will not only bolster Navi Mumbai’s reputation on India’s sporting landscape but also offer valuable exposure and competitive experience to emerging Indian golfers.

Vijay Singhal, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of CIDCO, remarked on the significance of the event, stating, “CIDCO Open 2025 is an important step towards promoting golf in India and providing Indian players, especially young and emerging talent, an opportunity to compete alongside international professionals. Hosting such tournaments at Kharghar also reinforces Navi Mumbai’s growing stature as a destination for world-class sporting events.”
