The symposium provided a crucial platform for NID scholars to share their findings and receive feedback, validating their research directions and outcomes. Dr. Ashok Mondal, Director of NID, emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of practice-based research and design education, highlighting the importance of collaboration and dialogue in advancing the field.

The event welcomed Prof. Dr. Sudarsan Panigrahi as the Chief Guest, who shared insights on the significance of research-led practice in shaping the future of design education and industry. The symposium featured two distinguished keynote speakers: Shashank Mehta, an Advisor and Consultant in Research and Development, presented an engaging discussion on contemporary design challenges and effective research methodologies. Meanwhile, Dr. Rebecca Reubens, a faculty member and sustainability design expert, led a thought-provoking session focused on sustainability, social impact, and responsible design futures.
