Former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas is set to lead a march to the Jaipur Metal Factory on March 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. This demonstration aims to demand justice and compensation for the factory’s workers, who have faced significant challenges in recent months. The march will begin at Khachariyawas’s residence and proceed to the factory located on Station Road.

Khachariyawas has openly criticized the Rajasthan State Government, accusing it of “cheating” the workers and colluding with the private company that operates the factory. He claims that the government has accepted “huge money” from the company while neglecting the dire circumstances of the workers. According to Khachariyawas, this neglect has left many workers in precarious situations.

Calls for Compensation and Legal Action

During his address, Khachariyawas stated that he intends to approach the Supreme Court to advocate for the workers. He demands compensation of Rs 15 lakh for each affected worker, asserting that this is a necessary step to rectify the injustices they have endured. “If the government does not help, it will be clearly proven that the government is also involved in this corruption,” he remarked, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

Khachariyawas affirmed his commitment to supporting the workers, declaring that he would stand firmly with them regardless of the government’s actions. He emphasized the importance of securing justice, stating that he would not back down in his efforts. After arriving at the factory, he plans to hold a sit-in protest lasting approximately 30 minutes to further amplify the workers’ plight.

This march is part of a broader effort to bring attention to the issues faced by factory workers in the region. As the situation unfolds, many will be watching closely to see how the government responds to these demands for accountability and support.
