Minister Sudhangshu Das Advocates Skill Development in Veterinary Training
On December 6, 2023, Sudhangshu Das, the Animal Resource Development Minister of Tripura, visited the Minor Veterinary Service Training Center in Agartala to assess the progress of its skill development programs. The minister engaged with trainees and staff, reviewing the ongoing capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing professional skills in the veterinary and livestock sectors.
Commitment to Skill Development
During his visit, Minister Das observed various practical and theoretical training sessions conducted by the participants. He expressed satisfaction with the dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated by the trainees, emphasizing that such programs are instrumental in equipping youth with the technical knowledge required for self-reliance in their careers.
“I am glad to see their commitment, enthusiasm, and the positive impact the training is creating in their lives,” Das remarked to reporters following the inspection. He extended his best wishes to the entire team, commending their efforts towards achieving self-sufficiency through skill enhancement.
The minister highlighted the state government’s focus on expanding skill development initiatives within the Animal Resource Development sector. He noted that these initiatives have the potential to create significant employment opportunities, improve rural livelihoods, and bolster the livestock-based economy of Tripura.
