Ahan Shetty Wraps Up Border 2 Shoot, Reflects on Impact
Ahan Shetty has officially completed filming for the highly anticipated sequel, Border 2, which also features notable actors such as Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. The film, directed by Anurag Singh, is set to premiere in theatres on January 23, 2026. Following the wrap, Shetty shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, reflecting on the challenges and unforgettable moments he experienced during production.
In his Instagram post, Ahan expressed that leaving the set felt “heavier than I expected.” He noted that Border 2 was not just a film but an exploration of “real stories, real courage,” infused with a sense of patriotism that resonates beyond the screen. He stated, “This film challenged me and gave me moments I’ll never forget,” highlighting the profound impact the project has had on him.
The actor shared a series of images from the set, including candid moments with co-stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, as well as a photo with army officers, emphasizing the film’s connection to the armed forces. Shetty’s father, actor Suniel Shetty, who played a significant role in the original Border film, was quick to respond to his son’s post, using emojis to convey his pride and support.

Recently, the first look of Diljit Dosanjh in the film was unveiled by T-Series and JP Films, showcasing his role as an air force officer. Following this, Varun Dhawan‘s first look was also released, where he will portray the character Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya.
