Raveena Tandon Takes on Role of PM Modi’s Mother in Maa Vande
Raveena Tandon is set to captivate audiences in a new role as she portrays the mother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming biography Maa Vande. Directed by Kranthi Kumar Ch, the film will also feature Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in the lead role, stepping into the shoes of Modi himself.

According to a source from Bollywood Hungama, Tandon was drawn to portray Heeraben due to her strength and resilience. The film aims to explore the profound bond between mother and son, highlighting the sacrifices and contributions made by Heeraben throughout Modi’s life. A source close to the production revealed that Maa Vande will focus on the emotional and complex relationship they shared, portraying how her support played a crucial role in shaping Modi’s journey to leadership.
Production and Creative Team
The production of Maa Vande promises to be ambitious, incorporating cutting-edge visual effects to enhance storytelling. The film is based on real events, chronicling Modi’s life from childhood to his rise as the nation’s leader. It will delve into lesser-known aspects of his life, particularly emphasizing the significant influence of his late mother, who remained a steadfast presence throughout his path.
Music for the film will be composed by Ravi Basrur, while editing will be handled by Sreekar Prasad. The project is being financed by Veer Reddy under the banner of Silver Cast Creations.
Raveena Tandon’s Recent Work
Before taking on this role, Raveena Tandon was last seen in the blockbuster KGF Chapter 2, where she portrayed the character Patna Shukla. Her performance garnered acclaim, with audiences praising her strong portrayal. Additionally, Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, recently made her acting debut alongside Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgn, in the film Azaad, which also received positive feedback for her acting and dancing skills.
